Historic Preservation Department 20th Anniversary

The Historic Preservation Department celebrated it's 20th anniversary on January 6th, 2007.

Historic Preservation and Archaeology Month

The Historic Preservation and Archaeology Month theme for 2005 is “Restore America: Communities at a Crossroads.” Historic Preservation and Archaeology Month offers many opportunities to celebrate your community’s history and heritage. It also provides a structure for activities that will increase your organization’s visibility to your membership, constituents and the community at large.

Historic Preservation and Archaeology Month - Planning Guide

This guide suggests ways you can involve everyone in your community, including area merchants, neighborhood associations, community residents, public officials, local media, students and teachers. Feel free to borrow these ideas, or adapt them to meet your local needs. Historic Preservation Month provides a unique opportunity to highlight your organization's role in the community and to lay the groundwork for future historic preservation efforts.

What activities can your organization plan?
